These terms are between you and Consyse LLC, which runs ruby.help. Using the site means you accept them. Questions go to [email protected].

What the service is
ruby.help publishes the Ruby language reference, runs a playground that executes Ruby in your browser, and hosts a jobs board. All three are free to use.
The documentation
The reference content is generated from the Ruby project's own source and is republished under its licence, which is listed on the Attributions page. We format it and add navigation. We do not write it, and we cannot promise it is complete or correct. Ruby's own repository is the authoritative source.
The playground
Code you run in the playground runs in your own browser. It is provided as-is. Do not rely on it for anything where a wrong result matters.
Posting a job
The board is for real Ruby roles. When you submit a listing, you confirm that:
- the role exists and you are allowed to advertise it;
- the details are accurate, including pay, location, and whether the role is remote;
- the listing does not discriminate on grounds the law protects, and is not misleading;
- you have the right to give us the email addresses you enter.
Every submission is reviewed by a person before it is published. We may decline or remove any listing, at any time, for any reason, and we will tell you by email when we do. A declined listing is not erased: we keep it and the reason, so we can account for the decision. The Privacy page says how long.
Published listings expire after the period shown on the listing. Posting is free while the board is in beta. If that changes, we will say so on the submission form before it applies to you.
Acceptable use
Do not submit listings in bulk, use automated tools to submit them, or scrape the site in a way that degrades it for others. The submission form enforces this with a bot check and rate limits, and we may block traffic that trips them.
Your content
You keep the rights to what you submit. You give us permission to publish it on ruby.help, to format it, to include it in search results and feeds, and to keep the record described above.
No warranty and limits on liability
The site is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Consyse LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from a listing on the board, or from the content of the documentation. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which today is nothing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah.
Changes
When these terms change, we update the date at the top. A change that affects how listings are handled will also be shown on the submission form.
