to_i → integer

    return dbl2ival(f);
}

Returns self truncated to an Integer.

Example

1.2.to_i    # => 1
(-1.2).to_i # => -1

Note that the limited precision of floating-point arithmetic may lead to surprising results:

Example

(0.3 / 0.1).to_i  # => 2 (!)

Float#to_int is an alias for Float#to_i.
